About Inter Bellum News

Inter Bellum News is an independent journalism project focused on explaining why events happen, not just reporting that they do.

We are a small outlet. We do not operate at the scale of major media organizations and we do not try to compete with them on volume or speed. Our work focuses on context, analysis, and long-term developments that are often overlooked in fast-moving news cycles.

The name Inter Bellum comes from Latin and means "between wars". It reflects our interest in periods of transition, instability, and change, when political, economic, and social systems are under pressure and future directions are uncertain.

Editorial approach

We aim to be unbiased, but not superficial. Rather than presenting issues as simple oppositions or relying on fixed narratives, we focus on evidence, background, and causality.

Our reporting and analysis examine why certain decisions are made, why specific narratives dominate public debate, and how historical context shapes present events. We are especially interested in power structures, incentives, and long-term consequences.

Our goal is not to tell readers what to think, but to provide enough context to allow them to form their own conclusions.

Independence

Inter Bellum News is not aligned with any government, political party, ideology, or geopolitical bloc.

We recognize that complete objectivity is not possible. All journalism involves perspective. Our approach is to be transparent, critical of our own assumptions, and open to correction.

What we cover

Our coverage includes geopolitics, international conflict, political economy, history, and the cultural and ideological forces shaping societies.

We focus in particular on periods of transition, when existing systems are changing and the outcomes are not yet clear.

Editorial standards

We prioritize accuracy over speed and depth over volume. We distinguish clearly between reporting and analysis. Sources are evaluated critically and claims are checked where possible.

When information is uncertain or incomplete, this is stated openly. Errors are corrected when identified.

Who we are

Inter Bellum News is run by a small editorial team. We do not claim to have all the answers. Our aim is to ask better questions and to take our readers seriously.
