Iranian state television reported on Saturday that the Islamic Republic has obtained thousands of sensitive Israeli intelligence documents, including material related to Israel’s nuclear weapons program at the Dimona facility. According to IRIB, the documents contain classified information that could pose a significant threat to Israel’s national security.
The operation, reportedly conducted several months ago by Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence in coordination with the IRGC Intelligence Organization, involved cyber attacks as well as deployment of Iranian spies operating inside Israeli territory. These operatives are said to have successfully extracted and transferred the data to secure locations within Iran. Iranian sources describe it as the most significant intelligence breach in Israel’s history. The material includes a vast collection of documents, images, videos, metadata, and other sensitive files.
Furthermore, the Lebanese media outlet Al-Mayadeen reported that the acquired intelligence may also include documents related to Israel’s regional operations, including information on covert projects and intelligence assets across the Middle East. Citing unnamed sources, Al-Mayadeen suggested that the coming weeks could bring “a series of surprises,” potentially involving further disclosures or repercussions stemming from the breach.
The report indicated that Israel’s intelligence community is currently operating in what has been described as a state of 'full-scale crisis management' in response to the incident. According to the outlet, the Iranian intelligence operation likely involved a coordinated blend of electronic surveillance, cyber intrusions, and on-the-ground infiltration efforts, pointing to a highly sophisticated and multi-pronged strategy aimed at penetrating some of Israel’s most secure information networks.
