In Penza, one woman was killed and two others wounded in an attack on an enterprise, the region’s governor, Oleg Melnichenko, wrote on Telegram.
In Samara, an elderly man died in a house fire caused by drone debris, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev posted on Telegram.
In Rostov, a guard was killed after a drone attack sparked a fire at an industrial facility, acting Governor Yuri Slyusar said.
“The military repelled a massive air attack during the night,” destroying drones over seven districts, Slyusar posted on Telegram.
Ukraine’s military struck Russia’s Ryazan oil refinery, causing a fire, and hit the Annanefteprodukt oil storage facility in Voronezh.
Ukraine’s SBU agency reported strikes on a Penza factory supplying military electronics and the Primorsko-Akhtarsk airfield used for Russian drone attacks.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported downing 112 to 338 Ukrainian drones, while Russian attacks wounded three in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, per Governor Serhiy Lysak.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, rejecting ceasefire calls, said his demands were “unchanged,” while Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X, “The United States has proposed this. Ukraine has supported it. What is needed is Russia’s readiness.”
