US President Donald Trump has disclosed millions of dollars' worth of stock trades made on his behalf in July, including transactions involving major technology and artificial intelligence companies such as Microsoft, Nvidia and Palantir, as well as Elon Musk-led SpaceX and Tesla.
The filing shows more than 1,000 trades during the month, while the White House says Trump's stock and bond portfolio is independently managed by third parties.
According to the disclosure, between $6.5 million and $31 million worth of Microsoft stock was sold on Trump's behalf, while purchases ranged between $165,000 and $400,000.
Shares in Nvidia and Palantir were also bought and sold, with Palantir holding contracts with the US Defence Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The filings additionally show purchases and sales involving SpaceX, the rocket, satellite and AI company led by Musk, who previously headed the US Department of Government Efficiency.
SpaceX listed its shares on the Nasdaq stock market in June, and its share price declined sharply during July and August before trading 14% above its market debut.
Shares in Musk's electric vehicle company Tesla were also bought and sold on Trump's behalf.
Trump has disclosed thousands of stock market transactions since returning to the White House in January 2025.
A White House spokesperson said neither Trump nor members of his family can direct or influence investment decisions, adding that the portfolio is independently managed.
The disclosure comes amid renewed attention to artificial intelligence development and safety, an issue on which Trump has argued that the United States must maintain an advantage over China.
Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump said he wanted to rebrand AI as "super intelligence" as part of an effort to project American technological dominance.
He has opposed safety-driven slowdowns and additional government safeguards, while UN Secretary-General António Guterres has advocated binding international protections.
Trump is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping this week during a state visit to Washington.
At the same time, the Trump administration is proposing an emergency AI hotline with Beijing aimed at managing potential cyber risks or rogue AI incidents.
