'Non-Explosive Object' Damages House in Madhya Pradesh in India
An aerial store, which was non-explosive, fell from an '"aircraft" per the Indian Air Force (IAF) and damage was caused to a house in Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh. The IAF said no one was injured, but two rooms in a house were destroyed. Local authorities claimed that teams from the police and administration are also being sent to the area to assess the damage. Meanwhile, the IAF said its investigation was ongoing into the incident.
Describing it as "very hard" and covered with burn marks, Shivpuri police stated it would only be known where it came from once Gwalior airbase experts had analyzed it. "Only they will be able to accurately identify it," officer Prashant Sharma said. The IAF noted it was not explosive and provided apologies for any damage.
The incident happened while India is still accusing Pakistan of a deadly incident in Pahalgam, Indian-administered Kashmir where gunmen killed 26 earlier in the week. Indian officials have not yet published anything to evidence a link between Pakistan and the attack which remains unclaimed by any group.
Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) called India’s allegations a “cynical, staged blame game” to promote political agendas. The NSC met in Islamabad, and called on India to stop using these events and to engage in dialogue.
