The armed wing of Hamas announced on Tuesday that it had located the body of an Israeli soldier held hostage in Gaza and would hand it over at 8 p.m. (1800 GMT).
The body was discovered in Shejaia, an eastern suburb of Gaza City.
Hamas stated that the site remains occupied by Israeli forces but access was granted for recovery teams from Hamas and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Al Jazeera reported the handover time as 8 p.m. (18:00 GMT).
Hamas said the body was found after three days of digging and searching.
Members of the al-Qassam Brigades reportedly crossed front lines without weapons to retrieve it.
The remains will be transferred to the Red Cross for delivery to Israeli authorities.
Before this incident, Hamas had returned 20 of the 28 bodies of hostages buried in Gaza.
Seven bodies remain to be located, with ongoing retrieval efforts.
A ceasefire took effect on October 10, under which Hamas released all 20 living hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian detainees.
Hamas committed to returning deceased hostages' remains but cited war devastation as a challenge in locating them.
Since the truce, Palestinian health authorities report 240 deaths from Israeli attacks, with 607 wounded.
Gaza health officials said four Palestinian bodies arrived at hospitals in the past 24 hours, including one from rubble.
Israeli forces killed a man in Jabalia, northern Gaza, claiming he posed an imminent threat after crossing into occupied areas.
The military also reported killing another individual in Tuffah neighborhood via quadcopter fire.
The U.S.-brokered truce has held amid repeated violences by Israel.
