Israel Destroys Gaza Dialysis Centre, Outrage Grows at GHF Killings
Israeli forces have demolished the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Centre in northern Gaza, the only facility providing kidney dialysis services in the region.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the centre was critical for over 160 patients with kidney failure.
Muneer al-Boursh, director of the Ministry of Health, stated, “The destruction of this center is a catastrophic blow to the health system.”
Medical sources report that 41% of Gaza’s kidney failure patients have died since the war began, largely due to the collapse of dialysis services and the destruction of medical infrastructure.
The Ministry warned, “This is a disaster with consequences we cannot yet fully comprehend.”
Escalating Violence and Humanitarian Crisis
The assault on the dialysis centre follows Israeli forces killing 54 people in Gaza, including dozens of starving Palestinians near food distribution points operated by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
The United Nations and aid groups have denounced these killings, highlighting the worsening humanitarian crisis.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reports that Israel’s ongoing war has killed at least 54,418 Palestinians and wounded 124,190, while the Gaza Government Media Office estimates over 61,700 deaths, with thousands missing under rubble.
Ceasefire Efforts Amid Rising Death Toll
Egypt and Qatar are pushing new ceasefire negotiations based on a US-backed proposal for a 60-day truce to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.
This comes as the conflict continues to devastate Gaza’s infrastructure and population.
The systematic targeting of healthcare facilities, including the Noura Al-Kaabi Centre, has drawn sharp criticism for endangering lives and exacerbating the region’s health crisis.
International Alarm Over Healthcare Collapse
The destruction of Gaza’s sole dialysis centre has intensified fears of a broader healthcare collapse.
The Ministry of Health condemned Israel’s “dangerous” approach, accusing it of systematically dismantling northern Gaza’s medical services.
As international outrage grows, the urgent need for a resolution to protect civilians and restore vital services remains critical.
