Massacre in Gaza's Shujaiyyah District: Over 26 Killed in Israeli Airstrike
Just hours ago, an Israeli airstrike tore through a multi-story residential building in Gaza City’s Shujaiya neighborhood, killing at least 26 Palestinians, local health authorities report.
The toll, which includes children, is expected to climb as rescue teams sift through the wreckage.
Medics say more than 50 people are injured, many still missing, trapped under debris that spilled across nearby homes.
Journalist Bisan Owda, reporting from an overwhelmed hospital via Instagram, described the scene:
This is the largest number of casualties I’ve ever documented since the beginning of the genocide. I used to document in Nasser Hospital and Shifa Hospital, but nothing like this. Literally nothing like this. Most of them are children. People are carrying the injured, even on carriages and animals.

Earlier Israeli forces also stormed Al-Quds University in the occupied West Bank.
Israel’s military has stayed silent on this latest assault, though it ordered Shujaiya’s residents to flee last week, claiming the area harbored militants a justification that rings hollow as civilian bodies pile up.
Gaza’s health ministry reports over 1,400 killed since Israel resumed its relentless bombardment on March 18, shattering a brief truce.
