Mass Deaths at Aid Sites Spark Outrage

The Gaza Health Ministry reported that over 743 Palestinians have been killed and 4,891 injured while seeking food at Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution sites in recent weeks, intensifying criticism of Israel’s genocide in the besieged Strip.

These sites, backed by the U.S. and Israel, have become death traps for desperate civilians facing starvation due to Israel’s blockade, which has choked off essential supplies in clear violation of international law.

The mounting death toll has fueled demands from humanitarian groups for the immediate closure of GHF operations, condemned as a tool of oppression.

Israeli Forces and Contractors Implicated

Reports indicate Israeli forces and GHF contractors have fired live ammunition and stun grenades at civilians scrambling for aid, exacerbating the crisis in Gaza’s militarized zones.

The systematic targeting of Gaza’s healthcare system and infrastructure has left families with no choice but to risk their lives for scarce food parcels.

One Palestinian, Majid Abu Laban, wounded at a GHF site, said

I was forced to go to the aid distribution centre simply because my kids had not eaten for three days in a row.

The Trump administration’s $30 million pledge to GHF has drawn scrutiny, with critics arguing it enables Israel’s deadly policies.

Humanitarian Crisis Deepens

Amnesty International has labeled GHF’s operations an “inhumane and deadly militarized scheme,” accusing it of serving as a facade to mask Israel’s genocide while endangering lives.

Despite GHF’s denials of wrongdoing, the group’s sites remain perilous, with two U.S. workers recently injured in an attack in Khan Younis.

Palestinians, driven by hunger, continue to flock to these zones, underscoring the dire shortages of food and water.

The international community faces growing pressure to address Israel’s blockade and halt the violence against civilians seeking survival.
