A disturbing video reveals Israeli military personnel using pepper spray on starving Palestinians at a GHF aid distribution site in Rafah, Gaza, on July 10.
The 20-second clip shows men, women, and children fleeing in panic, some covering their faces, others carrying flour bags while escaping the assault.
The GHF, backed by Israel and the U.S., has been heavily criticized for undermining Gaza’s UN-led aid network, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
Since late May, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reports 891 deaths at GHF aid points, with a UN report noting 674 fatalities near these sites.
On July 12, 130 Palestinians were killed, including 38 aid seekers, and 495 were wounded across Gaza, with 73 aid seekers killed the following day.
Mahmoud Mokeimar, a Palestinian witness, described Israeli troops firing indiscriminately at a crowd, leaving at least three bodies motionless.
Israel’s blockade and restrictions on food aid have left Palestinians with no choice but to risk death for basic supplies, as market prices soar.
“Parents go to the GHF distribution sites to risk getting killed or leave their children starving,” said Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary from Deir el-Balah.
The ongoing violence and aid disruptions highlight Israel’s role in deepening Gaza’s humanitarian catastrophe, with no immediate relief in sight.
