Today, President Donald Trump ordered a series of airstrikes on Yemen’s capital. The airstrikes, which claimed the lives of nine people, targeted radars, air defences, missile systems, and drones belonging to the Houthis.

Trump stated in a social media post that the Houthis are a terrorist group who are currently waging an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against both American and non-American ships in the Red Sea. Additionally, he made it clear that this was only the beginning, warning that more airstrikes would follow if the Houthis did not suspend their operations in the Red Sea.

"To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!"

He also warned Iran to cease all forms of support to the Houthis or they will have to deal with the consequences of their support.

"To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable and, we won’t be nice about it!"

Reportedly, Nasruddin Amer, Deputy Chairman of the Ansarullah Media Authority, dismissed the recent airstrikes as useless and ineffective. He stated that the United States has been bombing Yemen since 2014, yet this has not prevented the Houthis from growing stronger and continuing to defend their interests. Furthermore, he insisted that the American airstrikes would not deter the Houthis from supporting Gaza and maintaining the blockade on Israel to stop what he described as an ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

"Sana'a will remain Gaza's shield and support and will not abandon it no matter the challenges. The tables will turn on the aggressor, and the outcome is for the righteous,"
