Yemen’s Houthis have announced that they will ramp up attacks on targets inside Israel, unless the fighting in Gaza stops. This comes after a confirmed ballistic missile strike on an Israeli airbase on Tuesday. The missile was intercepted above Saudi Arabia by Israeli air defenses, and it marks the first time Yemen has launched ballistic missiles at Israel since the start of the Gaza ceasefire.

The Houthis say these strikes aim to pressure Israel into ceasing its military operations in Gaza, which have reportedly resulted in the deaths of more than 400 Palestinians since last night, when Netanyahu announced the resumption of the war.

The Israeli military stated that they intercepted a missile coming from Yemen, which set off sirens in several regions. Yahya Saree, Spokesman of Ansarallah's Military, stated that the strike was a show of solidarity with the Palestinians and promised to continue their actions unless Israel ceases its operations in Gaza. They also vowed to continue their naval blockade and attacks on American warships.

Yesterday, President Trump warned that any missile launched by Yemen would be considered as a missile launched from Iran, as increasing tensions have pushed the US towards holding Iran directly accountable for what it calls the creation of the 'Houthi monster'.
