On Sunday, the Houthis carried out a large-scale attack on American warships stationed in the Red Sea. The attack, which involved the use of drones and ballistic missiles, was launched in direct retaliation for the recent American airstrikes on multiple targets in Yemen.

Reportedly, in an official statement televised by the Al-Masirah channel, which is affiliated with the Houthis, military spokesperson Yahya Saree condemned the recent American airstrikes on Yemen. He stated that, within the past few hours, the United States had conducted a total of 47 airstrikes, resulting in the deaths of 31 civilians. Additionally, he specified that the strikes targeted multiple provinces, including Al Bayda, Sanaa, Hajjah, Marib, and Al-Jawf.

The American enemy committed massacres, resulting in dozens killed and wounded, with a toll still being finalized.

Saree also stated that the primary target of this operation was the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman along with its accompanying warships. He specified that the Houthis deployed 18 ballistic missiles, winged missiles, and a single drone as part of the assault. Furthermore, he vowed to continue launching attacks on U.S. warships, emphasizing that the group's commitment to blockading the Red Sea in solidarity with Palestine remains unwavering. He asserted that recent American airstrikes would neither alter nor deter their operations in the region.
