Yemen's Ansarallah movement, also known as the Houthis, have announced the resumption of their naval blockade against Israel. The group issued a 4-day ultimatum last Friday, demanding that Israel sticks to the ceasefire terms, by opening up the crossings into the Gaza Strip and allowing the free flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Israel has been withholding humanitarian aid from Gaza for weeks, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Following the expiration of the ultimatum today, Yemen anounced that they would target all Israeli and Israeli-linked ships in the 'operational zone': the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, Bab Al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden. They stated the blockade would take effect immediately, and that the ban on Israeli-linked shipping would not be lifted until Israel opens Gaza's border crossings and allows the entry of aid.

Israel has already taken several measures in order to prepare for possible Yemeni missile attacks in addition to the naval blockade, such as putting its air defense systems on high alert and enabling GPS jamming throughout the country.
