China Urges Countries Not To Give In to American Trade Intimidation

Beijing Calls for Global Unity Against What It Describes as U.S. Economic Coercion.

China has issued a strong warning to several of its key trading partners, urging them not to yield to mounting pressure from the United States. According to Chinese officials, Washington is intensifying a global campaign aimed at coercing countries around the world into restricting trade and cooperation with China. This move marks a significant escalation in the ongoing trade war between the world’s two largest economies.

Additionally, The warning comes shortly after Chinese President Xi Jinping wrapped up a high-profile diplomatic push across Southeast Asia, aiming to position China as a stable and trustworthy force in global commerce. In his message to regional leaders, Xi emphasized China’s commitment to open trade and long-term economic partnerships an image deliberately framed in opposition to the erratic tariff policies and trade disruptions associated with the Trump administration’s more confrontational stance.

Responding to recent media coverage suggesting that the Trump administration is seeking to pressure other nations into limiting trade with China in return for exemptions from U.S. tariffs, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce issued a statement on Monday addressing the situation:

“Seeking temporary self-interest at the expense of others in exchange for so-called exemptions is like asking a tiger for its skin. In the end, it will achieve nothing and harm both others and oneself,”

“China firmly opposes any party reaching a deal at the expense of China’s interests. If such a situation arises, China will not accept it and will resolutely take reciprocal countermeasures,”
