11 Die of Starvation in Gaza As Israeli Attacks Kill 21 More Aid Seekers

Gaza's humanitarian crisis worsens as Israeli blockade and attacks deepen starvation and violence

Eleven Palestinians in Gaza starved to death in a single day, raising the total hunger-related deaths to 212, according to Gaza health officials.

The Israeli blockade has choked off food, infant milk, medicines, and medical supplies, leaving hospitals barely functional.

Without beds or supplies, injured Palestinians lie on hospital floors, unable to receive proper treatment.

At least 21 Palestinians have died and 124 others were injured due to airdropped aid since the war began, per Gaza’s Government Media Office.

Many airdrops land in Israeli-controlled zones or devastated neighborhoods, exposing aid seekers to attacks.

Some packages fall into the sea, leading to 13 drownings as desperate Palestinians tried to retrieve them.

Some Palestinians report of moldy bread parachuted as aid into Gaza.

Israel’s Occupation and International Inaction

Israel’s plan to seize Gaza City threatens to expel 800,000 to a million Palestinians, escalating the crisis.

Phyllis Bennis, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, warns of expanded “concentration camps” and increased deaths from bombs, starvation, and dehydration.

Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Palestinian foreign minister, called Israel’s actions a “genocide” driven by an expansionist ideology aiming to seize all of Palestine.

She criticized the inaction of Arab countries, stating it has “emboldened” Israel’s occupation and settler violence.

Aghabekian urged sanctions on settlers and their products to hold Israel accountable for violating international law.
