Israel Turns Gaza Aid Distribution Points into Deadly ‘Kill Zones’

Deadly Attacks Highlight Escalating Violence at Humanitarian Sites

Naffah

Israeli military operations have transformed aid distribution points in Gaza into deadly zones, with at least 25 Palestinians killed and over 100 injured near the Netzarim Corridor, south of Gaza City, according to medical sources cited by Al Jazeera Arabic.

The attack occurred at a food distribution site operated by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, marking the latest in a series of violent incidents since the foundation assumed control of aid operations in late May.

Medical officials at Shifa and Al-Quds Hospitals confirmed the casualties, while emergency services continue to evacuate the wounded from the chaotic scene.

Jaber Al Hawjeri, a father of six present at the site, described the desperation: “We went to face death for some humanitarian aid, but we were attacked and left without any food.”

Southern Gaza Faces Deadly Drone Strikes

In southern Gaza, Israeli drone attacks near Khan Younis have claimed additional lives, with four displaced Palestinians killed in the al-Mawasi area and one in the Qizan Rashwan area, according to a Nasser Hospital source.

These strikes add to the mounting toll of Gaza’s Health Ministry, which reports 54,981 Palestinians killed and 126,920 wounded since the onset of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat received seven bodies and 112 injured from attacks targeting civilian gatherings near the Netzarim checkpoint, while Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital holds five unidentified bodies.

The relentless violence has overwhelmed medical facilities struggling to respond to the crisis.

Witnesses Describe Humanitarian Crisis

The situation at aid sites has deteriorated into what witnesses call “kill zones.”

Jaber Al Hawjeri, who believes snipers or drones fired on the crowd, recounted the horror: “Victims were all over the place … The situation is going from bad to worse. We have no hope at all.”

His nephew was among the wounded, underscoring the personal toll of the violence.

As attacks on aid seekers intensify, the humanitarian crisis deepens, with desperate civilians risking their lives for basic supplies like bread, only to face deadly force.

The international community faces growing pressure to address the escalating violence and protect Gaza’s vulnerable population.
