Israeli forces have converted Palestinian homes in Hebron into military positions amid a sweeping lockdown in the occupied West Bank, while separate Israeli attacks across Gaza killed at least eight Palestinians on Sunday, including three security guards at a university campus.

The developments come amid intensified military operations, widespread displacement and restrictions on Palestinian movement.

Hebron Lockdown Intensifies

Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israeli troops seized homes in Khallat Manna and Dahiyat al-Zaytoun, using them as barracks and observation posts after forcing residents to leave.

The operation followed Friday's alleged attack by two armed Palestinians on an Israeli army reserve base, which killed two soldiers.

Both suspects were also killed.

According to Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa's office, more than 2,670 Palestinians have been displaced from Hebron, including children, elderly residents and pregnant women.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society reported at least 47 detentions since Friday, alongside hundreds of field interrogations.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers began establishing two outposts on Palestinian-owned land near Yatta, including locations in Khallet al-Fara and between az-Zuweidin and Umm Qussa.

Israeli forces also maintained road closures around Bethlehem for a third consecutive day, restricting access to surrounding communities.

Gaza Attacks Continue

In Gaza City, an Israeli air strike killed three security guards at the Islamic University on Sunday, following an earlier drone attack that injured seven female students, one seriously.

Additional attacks killed two Palestinians in al-Mawasi near Khan Younis, one east of Deir el-Balah and another near al-Rashid Street in northern Gaza.

A subsequent strike in Sheikh Nasser, east of Khan Younis, killed another man.

UNESCO estimates that nearly 95 percent of Gaza's higher education campuses have been damaged or destroyed since October 2023.

Gaza's Health Ministry reports 1,551 Palestinians killed and 5,573 injured since the October 2025 ceasefire began.

The cumulative reported death toll stands at 74,544, with 175,692 wounded since October 2023, as continuing military restrictions and crossing closures compound humanitarian conditions.
