A BBC documentary details allegations from four women who say they encountered the actor and musician as teenagers, alongside additional accounts from six other women.

Four women have accused Oscar-winning actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto of criminal sexual conduct, according to a BBC documentary examining allegations spanning more than a decade.

The alleged incidents took place between 2002 and 2016, when the women were teenagers and Leto was in his 30s and 40s.

The documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, includes accounts from 10 women, nine of whom are speaking publicly for the first time.

The BBC said it corroborated a number of the women's accounts through friends, family members, photographs and messages.

Despite repeated attempts to contact Leto before publication, the broadcaster said he did not respond to the allegations it presented.

Allegations Detailed

According to the documentary, one woman alleges she was sexually assaulted in a motel bathroom at the age of 17.

Another alleges Leto threatened her with sexual assault after she was left alone with him in a hotel room when she was 19.

A third woman alleges she had sex with Leto in California when she was 17, an encounter she says followed a discussion in which he "shrugged off" the state's age of consent.

A fourth woman alleges Leto groomed her through repeated sexually explicit phone calls when she was 16 and that she later received a non-disclosure agreement, which she declined to sign.

The BBC said it had reviewed the NDA, along with related text messages and emails.

Broader Claims

The documentary also includes accounts from two former members of Thirty Seconds to Mars' wider team, who said staff were uncomfortable with Leto's interactions with teenage girls, including invitations backstage and to a recording house.

In addition, several women alleged receiving sexually explicit phone calls from Leto while they were young, while another described an encounter at a music festival when she was 14.

The BBC said it identified more than 120 separate allegations made online relating to Leto's behaviour toward women.

The broadcaster also noted that allegations resurfaced last year after DJ Allie Teilz accused Leto of assaulting her when she was 17, prompting other women to come forward with similar claims.

A separate Air Mail report last year featured allegations from nine women accusing Leto of sexual impropriety, which he denied.
