Yemen's Houthis Report Latest U.S. Airstrikes Kill Six Across Yemen
Yemen’s Houthis report that U.S. airstrikes killed at least six people over the weekend, striking multiple locations including the capital, Sanaa, and the northern stronghold of Saada.
According to the Ministry of Health, a Sunday night strike in Sanaa’s Shu’ub district demolished a house, killing four and wounding 16, including women and children. The Houthis’ Al Masirah news channel aired footage of the shattered home, showing survivors and hospital scenes as the toll mounted.
Earlier, overnight strikes in Saada killed at least two and injured nine, with Al Masirah broadcasting images of a two-storey building crumpling under the bombardment.
Since President Donald Trump resumed the campaign last month, the U.S. has conducted over 200 strikes targeting the Iranian-aligned Houthis, who have attacked Red Sea shipping to support Palestinians during Israel’s Genocide in Gaza.
Trump intensified the rhetoric, sharing a Saturday video of a drone strike wiping out over 70 people leaving a gaping crater. He boasted it stopped an attack, but the Houthis’ SABA agency denounced it as a brutal assault on a civilian Eid gathering in Hodeida, with dozens killed and wounded in what they called a massacre.
The U.S. Central Command provided no details on the footage, while the White House justifies the campaign as a response to Houthi actions in the Red Sea, tied to their support for Palestinians in Gaza.
Since the strikes resumed, dozens of Yemenis have perished, their homes, military posts, and vital infrastructure reduced to rubble.
