Stabbing Spree in a Bakery in Philippines, Seven Killed as a Result
An unusual incident occurred in Antipolo, a city located in Rizal province, Philippines, of which an unidentified male with a vague motive entered a bakery and stabbed seven people, leading to the loss of their lives on the spot.
According to the police reports, the victims were workers in the mentioned bakery. Moreover, the attacker proceeded with the mass stabbing while the workers were asleep, according to the Rizal Police Provincial Office in a statement.
It was initially reported at first by the Police that the number of victims of this incident are five, but but Police Regional Office 4 (PRO 4) public information chief Lt. Col. Chitadel Goiran confirmed to Inquirer.net, a Philippine news website, that authorities found seven victims.
The bodies of the victims were discovered at around 6 a.m. on this Tuesday, and the incident was reported to the police at around 8 a.m.
At around 9:00 AM on the same day, the suspect was apprehended at the Base Police, Headquarters Support Service of the Philippine National Police (PNP). He was subjected to standard physical and medical examinations and is currently under police custody.
